Rationalism is Overrated

If we all live in our own version of reality then pushing science further only helps our version of reality (in a world of abundance, where making things is diminishing in returns).

Rationalism will always lose to behavioralism, because (as Depeche Mode told us) people are people. A scientist’s reasoning might become deeper, but it is locked within that scientist’s instance of reality. The scientist (and hackers, designers, Enlightened) need to on–board people to their reality – or alternatively they could quit the pursuit of universal knowledge, attempt to enable without telling people what they want, and design for the world inside their constituents‘ heads.
